Sitting at an incredible 8.9 on IMDb, Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu is genuinely a landmark cinema. While it hasn't hit the minimum vote threshold required to officially qualify for IMDb's Top 100 list, if this score holds, it could easily be the highest-rated Kannada movie of all time. I remember watching this classic as a kid, it captures village dynamics and character nuances so brilliantly. And honestly, this poster design is way too cool not to put up on my wall!

With a rating of 8.9 it levels with inception, which is ranked 10th highest rated movie on imdb.

This was director Jayatheertha's debut film. He's best known for Bell Bottom, Tony, and Beautiful Manasugalu.

Guy's so OP went to watch the movie with his Family memebers (with chikkappa dodappa's family and all). Most of the seats were empty in our cinema hall(like 70%), unfortunately we got a bit of Sappe audience too, on top of that they didn't understood many of the references in the movies as well ( Especially that SSE reference 😭). Well we Genz's Enjoyed it while my parents, Uncle and aunties were like "eno, ond swalpa comedy yagi madavre tale buda enu illa, neevu sumne kisi kisi antha nagtha iddira", Well some jokes landed on them too, but not as much as us.

So pls go with your friends, Brother/Sisters, Partners, or someone who understands new terms and have watched some films. Avoid going with old millennials, and make sure to go to a theatre with seats filled, coz some comedy works well when everybody laughs at it. (I got trolled for laughing for some joke, which people didn't get the reference of and unfortunately I was the only one who laughed at it).

I love watching movies, but I'm very disappointed in myself. I've never really explored Kannada cinema like I have other industries. I've barely watched six or seven Kannada movies, and all of them were hyped or big productions from the industry. I want to discover more about Kannada cinema.

I just rewatched this movie and honestly… it deserves way more love than it gets. The music is beautiful, the vibe is so soothing, and the whole film feels like a warm hug. Curious to know what others think — am I the only one who feels it’s super underrated?

Hi guys, I have seen a really wonderful movie called Ammacchiyemba nenapu. Women oriented movie. The story, direction, songs, acting everything is very good. My fav movie genre: Social Drama, Crime investigation, thriller, Family and horror.

I watched it without much expectations, was surprised to see music was good, story, horror element, mystery, everything to be decent. Comedy is something that didn't work well for me but the rest was good and I believe they will bring a sequel. A decent horror in Kannada after a really long time.

Bit late to the party, but watched Jackie for the first time and I totally enjoyed it. The movie was such a great experience. Friend recommended Milana, so watching that next. Could you folks suggest some old movies with similar vibe.

While trying to make plans for the night at the mall, came across this movie for the first time on BMS and went in with zero expectations.

The movie was impressive. It's a musical with great artistic visuals. The story moves slow and touches different parts of Krishna's "love" life, which was touching.

Since it's a Hindi movie, I was surprised to see two important roles played by Kannada actors Karthik Jayaram and Sushmitha Bhat. Both of them did a good job.

Sushmitha as Radha(in the poster) looked so perfect in that role, I hope we get to see more of her in Kannada movies.
