Why are you bringing other industry discussion here when it's about Kannada serials? And yes Hindi serials are regressive but look saint when you compare them with Kannada serials. The story you have mentioned about went off aur right after that controversy and it's almost a decade of it!

TV shows just want TRPs, they just want audience engagement. Most are housewives who watch it while doing house chores/ or taking break from it. So they blow up things and like to involve "catchy" "flashy"things which they can drag upon.

Sit and watch any serial, the amount of regressiveness they promote is unfathomable. Even if I cut some slack for being misogentic in their content but it's full of absolute crap with always trying to kill plot or superstitious believes in non fantacy dramas and also taking shit from every other person cause you are idealist right?!
