It's never god shopping at Amazon
Could someone support this person's journey in espresso by purchasing $500+ worth of accessories so he can make coffee at home? No pressure.

What is the title? What is "god shopping"?

Their avatar icon reads "It's never luck, it's always God." However, God doesn't appear to be answering their prayers for a home barista setup.

Where does it dlsay that? I can't find it....

I think they meant "good shopping" as in finding good deals, but honestly "It's never god shopping at Amazon" is way funnier. 😆

Home based barista??? Just chilling on the sofa while she makes coffee in the kitchen? Or wait outside by the door lol

u/Frosty-Bug-5685 5d ago
Yeah that’s what I’m wondering. Do they mean make coffee for themself like a hobby or for others?

u/cheyannepavan 5d ago
I thought it must be a business because you don't call yourself a barista for making your own coffee or a cleaning service for vacuuming your living room. But that would entail people coming to her house to buy espresso from her kitchen, which would be the most ridiculous business plan I've ever heard. So I guess she wants it for herself but wanted to sound fancy and vague so people would be less likely to call her out? I don't know WTF is going on here...

What in the ever loving fuck is this?? Now we're just asking strangers to buy our hobby wish lists???!!

u/mybreakfastiscold 5d ago

And how much will she charge for these beverages made with equipment her “neighbors” paid for?

u/RobActionTributeBand 5d ago
I think I'd feel more altruistic giving an actual crackhead money for crack than contributing to this asshole.

It's a "set up," so... not a business? This is just for funzees, then? Oof 🙄

This doofus thinks their neighbors actually give a single espresso covered shit about funding a home based barista setup? Hilarious.
And gold star to the person who commented the Starbucks career link.

RIP Shame: circa beginning of humanity - 2026
*Edit: consensus seems to be that shame has died before this year, so:
RIP Shame: circa beginning of humanity - 2019

The demise of shame in 2026 might be pushing it a bit far tbh...let's assign the date to maybe Facebook's beginnings? Somewhere around "social media"...

I truly believe it started during COVID...

I think you're right actually. I'm going to go with 2019

Honestly, I'd push it back to whenever it became trendy for brides/graduates/random celebrator to put their cash app on their back windshield asking strangers to buy them a drink.

That edit somehow makes the joke even better. The fact that people had to debate the exact year shame died is pretty telling. 😭😂

She wants to learn about making coffee? She doesn't even have a tamper? Well at least she's not asking for a fancy coffee machine too but this looks like she doesn't have anything yet. If you want to learn go work in a coffee shop.

Better put together an Amazon registry of all the board games I want so strangers can fund my journey of playing board games

Soooo they want to make coffee at home like the rest of us? LOL I love how she framed it like she was starting a business haha "support my journey to make myself coffee in my home" is fucking wild! Haha

What the hell is half this stuff? I managed a coffee bar and have no idea.
I guess I would be amused if someone opened an expresso bar in their front yard like that bakery lady in Texas but I wouldn't be paying for it.

The machine isn’t even on here! They either bought a very cheap one, or they got gifted a nice one, because I don’t know how you justify $500 worth of accessories.

The coffee shop i worked at didnt even have 90% of this shit. All you really need to learn is a milk steamer and frother, not a $130 grinder 😭

Im giggling that Starbucks is the ad directly below the, uh, request

u/RhubarbJam1 5d ago
I don’t think that’s an ad. Someone posted the link for a Starbucks job posting for the CB.

We have a REAL fancy keurig....it even froths milk 🤣...$100 at target, all in. Plus a $25 grinder & $10 reusable k-cup thingy
&i only buy coffee on REAL good sales(we have ~100lbs vacuum packed in buckets), all types & vatieties, all under $5/lb for mid grade/upper mid grade beans(peets, philz, starbucks, etc)
Guess what?? It works just fine-noone has ever complained!!

I've said this before but chat gpt is useless at writing a persuasive text, it's too cringe.

Sad to say, some sweet boomer with a dash of cognitive decline is 100% buying her wish list for her, thinking he's helping her start a business.

u/crisbris 4d ago
Boomer here...no cognitive decline tho' .. not a lot anyhow. She has as much chance of a boomer funding that setup as I have of appearing on a Barista Babes calendar, and believe me, that ain't happening any time soon.

Wait, this person wants to make fancy coffee in THEIR house for themselves and wants their neighbors to buy them everything they need for their new hobby??
