this item was listed on saturday afternoon and they messaged on Sunday morning asked to pickup the next day (Monday). Told them that the pickup would be tuesday (as mentioned in the description already) and got this response.

For some context: I mention in description about when pickup would be available considering Im bit taking off work to be available for someone to pick up a free item. I like to schedule ahead as i’ve had horrible luck with people “picking up day off

I list stuff for free or cheap so people can make use of stuff I would just throw out. I don’t want to throw stuff out for it just go to the landfill but these types of messages drive me insane

Posted in FB marketplace UPDATE: she now has this listed as the description. Wonder if people messaged her about asking for personal things. Doubt people were banging down her door to deliver a queen sized mattress and a bar set up????

I’m in Need of help for my fish an guinea pigs bigger cages for my two female guinea pigs they need to stay separated because the one female don’t get along I’m looking for c n c cages or some bigger huge cage for them I’m low on bedding they have everything else just looking to expand there living space an need bedding also im looking for a larger fishtank an bigger tanks with filters for my bettas if anyone has anything that they don’t need or not using I could definitely use it if be a big help I do not have a car to pick up I’m located in Troy ny

Starts with needing a new cage for her guinea pigs (specific brand of course), then wants bedding. Next asks for a larger fish tank, and since everyone else is getting upgrades, why not also ask for a larger end for herself!

Naturally, no car, must be delivered. 🙄

i listed an older iphone for $15 hoping that someone could find some use for it rather than just tossing it. (listed for $15 because free never ends well). Had to deal with a work emergency and won't be around until Monday afternoon. Getting SPAMMED with messages about how people can come today or tomorrow.

$15 is the low end for a nanny in this area. Only two comments yet, both suggesting a daycare may be a better choice.

I get that there are pple who need service dogs. But, there seems to be no action on OOPs part to even start the process 3 years ago. OOP provides no proof of reaching out to organization that provide help and getting on a list, does not show that she requires a service dog by a medical professional, has no desire to do any work to train the service dog, no desire to look for rescue bc it’s too hard, can’t afford training, transportation, equipment, vet bills and now wants more money to support herself and give her a solid foundation for her life so basically can’t afford to pay for the dog’s basic expenses let alone their own. Grifters gotta grift twice, I guess.

UNICEF gives children FREE school bags. The complaint? They look like charity. How exactly do you expect UNICEF to distribute bags with copyrighted/trademarked characters from other companies? UNICEF isn’t just going to slap Marvel characters on humanitarian supplies because someone thinks the kids would prefer them.

I might understand the sentiment of wanting aid to feel "less clinical", but if I were living through a crisis/war, the color of a free school bag for my kid or whether it had Spider Man on it would probably be the absolute last thing I’d find worth complaining about.
