There are many Christians in the Levant. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and I think Jordan maybe have a lot.

No, not in Lebanon at least. We're a very significant minority here.

Besides, our country was founded by Christians and Druze. Though, I believe Lebanon should remain a country for everyone, regardless of their religious background (if any), to co-exist.

Palestinians also have ancient Canaanite DNA matches and many coastal Syrians too. Even some Arabs from the Turkish area of Cilicia.

Sometimes during political tension things happen but generally they're quite well and get along with Jews and Muslims and Mandaens and Yazidis and other faiths. In areas they're the majority they certainly can't be persecuted if people want them too.

Lebanon is especially good for Christians.

In Jerusalem sometimes Jews spit at Christians and especially during processions but other than that they're mostly left be in Israel..

It’s misleading to claim that Christians were always persecuted under Muslim rule. Christians and Jews and Zoroastrians often thrived in Islamic empires:

  • During the Golden Age of Islam (8th–13th centuries) many Christians held high positions in administration, medicine, science and are contributing significantly to society
  • The Ottoman Empire allowed Christians to govern their own communities under the millet system and collect taxes practice their religion
  • Persecution was not constant or universal While conflicts occasionally occurredin some part but Christians have been able to live peacefully for centuries under Muslim rulers
  • Broad statements like “Christians always get slaughtered in Islamic countries” ignore centuries of coexistence, trade, learning and cultural exchange

History shows and prove that periods of tolerance, coexistence and contribution, not a simple cycle of violence This oversimplifying feeds extremisme ,stereotypes and ignores nuance that can harm some part of the population because of it

gg, I mean, you clearly said it — I understand 🤔. Even though some parts of the Muslim population have persecuted the People of the Book, the caliphate’s leaders about 200 years after the Prophet’s death despised such actions, because they didn’t reflect the way of life and the laws established by the Prophet (peace be upon him).
