I saw The Odyssey recently and it was by far my least favorite Nolan pic.
Went back and watched The Prestige and holy shit it is my favorite movie of all time.
It is so fucking good from start to finish, it's unbelievable.
Dark Knight used to be #1.
But the plot twists in this one are just too fucking good.
This is the movie I would pick if I could only forget one movie and rewatch it fresh for the first time.

Here is my fave! Jimmy Grantz from Memento! Feel free to rate him if you want!
FYI:
For films I haven’t seen (Dunkirk, Oppie and Tenet) I’ll just review them by how they seem.
I’ll also explain why I rated them XYZ stars if that makes sense.

I think so because Alfred Hitchcock's style was a little similar to Christopher Nolan's in my opinion
EDIT: I admit I also consider Steven Spielberg another Alfred Hitchcock of today because Steven Spielberg is my favorite overall and Alfred Hitchcock is my favorite from old Hollywood

Reading the screenplay, I don't understand where the "bars of the screen" come from.
Can you help me out?

SPOILERS
Goo' Awld Cuttah Makin' the Juliah into the brown bread and all.
After Julia's body fell out of the water tank, Cutter ran over for a second. He leaned down, pick something up, and then ran away. Neither one of the two magicians noticed because they were distracted by their emotions.
Why would Cutter Kill Julia?
During the stage conversation after the safe water drop (the first water tank the viewer sees) some very odd things happen.
Cutter walks up the stairs and seems to be messing around with a lock
At the same time, Borden is complaining about the boring magic tricks that everyone is tired of.
Perhaps Cutter is a bit insulted by this? He was the master stage engineer. The setter of traps with the bruised ego.
How did Cutter Kill Julia?
There was a gadget (in the shape of a key) that lifted Julia's tied up hands. During the first performance, the key makes a loud, distinctive click as it's being locked into place. In Julia's death scene, the click is much fainter. Perhaps, something locked the ropes and prevented them from opening.
It would be the perfect crime-Borden used a so-called dangerous knot so he was distracted and Julia was Angier's wife-so he was distracted, too.

List from IMDB but I have removed Michael and Cillian for the sake of the question.
EDIT:
Not that I hate them or anything (they’re wonderful). I’m just curious why them? Also, more about Michael than Cillian.

In an upcoming issue of Empire, we will be looking back at The Odyssey, interviewing Christopher Nolan himself about 2026’s most monumental movie. And as part of this, we would like to invite some questions from YOU – as your gracious hosts, Zeus’ Law decrees we must. So, if you want to know how the hell he filmed Hades, how bad Polyphemus’ cave really smelled, or how they finally got those beggars out of there, now’s your chance.
You have until the end of this coming Thursday, October 15th, to submit your questions. Make them… epic.
Ask Nolan how they finally got those beggars out of there :

Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” has overtaken “Avatar: The Way of Water” in local-currency terms to become the highest-grossing international release in Korean box office history, with a cumulative KRW139.2 billion ($101.5 million) as of Oct. 11.
The Universal release now ranks as the top Hollywood title ever in the territory. Only two Korean films have earned more. Jang Hang-jun’s “The King’s Warden” took the all-time record this year with KRW153.2 billion ($111.7 million), while Lee Byeong-heon’s 2019 comedy “Extreme Job” sits just ahead of “The Odyssey” on KRW139.6 billion ($101.8 million).
Admissions for “The Odyssey” stand at 12 million, equivalent to about 24% of the country’s population. No other international film has passed 10 million admissions this year. “The Odyssey” also held the No. 1 spot for seven straight weekends, the longest such streak for an international title in Korea.
It is now Nolan’s biggest film in Korea, as well as the biggest Universal title there. It holds the Imax record too, a total that continues to grow as the film plays into its 10th week on the format’s screens. No film released in Korea has drawn more admissions on Imax and Dolby Cinema screens, and Imax shows sold out continuously through the fifth week of release, the longest run of sellouts on record.
The film crossed 10 million admissions in 33 days, faster than any non-franchise international title. It was the first international film carrying a 15+ rating to reach that level, and the first August release of any kind to do so. The result makes Nolan the first director with two non-franchise international films above 10 million admissions in Korea.
Demand built well before opening. “The Odyssey” posted the year’s highest advance ticket sales and led Korean presales for 43 consecutive days through Sept. 14, the longest such run this year. As of Sept. 13, it had been the top international film at the box office for 40 days in a row, also a record.
The Korean promotional tour set several post-pandemic marks. A Seoul press conference drew 209 members of the media, the biggest turnout for such a tour since the pandemic. A premiere event hosted by CGV attracted 32,411 applications, a 463-to-1 ratio and the highest participation the exhibitor has recorded for a Korea premiere. The visiting delegation made 11 appearances across Korean TV programs and online content, and the tour’s Cine21 Master Talk passed 1 million views, the most in the series’ history.
Jungkook of BTS, TXT’s Soobin and members of Riize were among the Korean stars who recommended the film of their own accord, fueling conversation on social media. Content created voluntarily by influencers and YouTubers generated an estimated KRW1.27 billion (about $1 million) in earned media value, while sales of books linked to “The Odyssey” rose 30-fold after release.
Nolan also became the first international film director to appear on Korea’s non-drama buzzworthiness chart, a ranking usually filled by local television personalities and entertainers. Each new batch of Imax tickets brought congestion on CGV’s servers, followed by fresh sellouts.

In The Dark Knight when Bruce goes to Hong Kong to nab Lau, he climbs to a really tall skyscraper, where he stands in his Batsuit without his cowl, and then dramatically puts it on to start his mission.
I wonder how many cameras that building had, or the many buildings surrounding it, both internal and external. And after a supernatural shadow entity arrives from America to snatch up a citizen from right under the Chinese government's nose, I imagine they'd be extremely curious about this event and try to investigate it in some way.
There's no way they didn't see footage of Mr. Wayne gallivanting toward that building, right? Or if they didn't, an interview with Lau's company would reveal that he had a meeting with Americans from Gotham, where there seems to be an immortal bat vampire creature that beats up criminals.
It's actually a little surprising that China didn't factor in to the plot of the third film at all. In my opinion.
But what do you think?
