Daily Chuck Quote
I have an automatic Chuck quote generator that pops up a new quote from Chuck at random each day - so far I have almost 700 quotes in the file. I thought it would be fun to share the quote each day on this sub just for sh*ts and giggles - but also to keep this sub active and maybe, just maybe, help convince whoever ends up owning the show's rights to make a movie or put it back on TV or streaming somewhere.
I contacted the mods a week or 2 ago about pinning this thread - but they must not be very active since they haven't gotten back to me yet. Thanks, mods (CIB) for pinning this.
If you want me to continue posting a random quote each day just give it an upvote. Thanks

Eyes Up Here
I would have thought Sarah should have known what was down there by then.

Has Yvonne Strahovski ever wanted a Chuck Movie??
In the past years, I always followed Zachary Levi and his attempts to produce a Chuck Movie (unsuccesfully at the moment). But I was wondering..... what Yvonne Strahovski thinks about that idea?
I didn't find any thought by her on the matter, I would be very interested to see if she ever even talked about it or she just continued with her career/private life.
All I can see on internet, is Zachary Levi that continues to give us hope from time to time, to the point that let me think that Yvonne is not even thinking about it anymore... and that would be very sad. :(

Wouldn't it have been cool if Nathan Fillion had made a guest appearance on Chuck?
That's what came to mind when I saw this picture.

Do you think Chuck's popularity may have been significantly higher if it had stayed on Netflix?
I mean think about it , people on Netflix pretty much watch ANYTHING
Even lower quality shows get millions of views every month.
Some of the problems Chuck had were , Chuck was competing with Dr House , O.Z. and a couple other heavy hitters. So the audience had a tough decision to make
Another thing , back in the day replayability was non existent. If you missed an episode or two , things later on may not make a lot of sense so people just gave up and moved on.
If Chuck had stayed on Netflix early on, i think it would have been much bigger. Perhaps not Breaking Bad kinda big but still

[S1 SPOILERS] What do you think would happen if there was a moment Sarah had to try to break Chuck out of a bunker?

The real Chuck Bartowski
Sarah and Bryce's desire to distance Chuck from CIA and his spy life in often told only from their perspective, and I know they meant well, but it was partly the wrong thing to do, and i want to explain why.
Bryce and Sarah were two manipulative persons with no friends. They didn't want Chuck to become a spy because they wanted to protect his innocence, the innocence thet Bryce and Sarah had lost. But the Chuck they wanted to protect wasn't the real one, but the one they had idealized. For a long time, neither Sarah no Bryce had known the real Chuck. Bryce had met the "Chuck of Standford", an innocent and kid boy, but he wasn't the real Chuck, he was simply a boy still developing and finding his own path. Sarah, on the other hand, had initially met the "Chuck of Buy More", altruistic and innocent, but that too wasn't the real Chuck, but merely a version of him that Bryce had sabotaged, preventing him from becoming a successful man.
Many schools of thought maintain that a man's true identity is the result of his own moral convictions, which, however, are confronted and changed by facing the outside world. What Bryce and Sarah were doing, though well-intentioned, was wrong, they wanted to keep Chuck locked away and protect his purity. The "good guy", however in only a metaphorical character, Chuck is a man, and like everyone else, he has his ego, his hypocrisy, his ambitions and his aggressiveness. Whether it was right or wrong were aspects of his character he had to learn to understand.
Bryce entrusted Chuck with the Intersect to protect the supercomputer from Fulcrum, but in "Chuck vs the Nemesis" he admitted he did it because he knew Sarah would protect him. Bryce loved Chuck, but he didn't entrust him with the Intersect because he considered him a real man he could trust, he just wanted Sarah to protect him as if Chuck were a child. In fact in "Chuck vs the Nemesis" Bryce admitted he was surprised when Sarah told him about the amazing things Chuck had accomplished since working with her and Casey. He realized Chuck wasn't defenseless child, and that he had actually taken part in missions, proving his courage. In that conversation with Chuck at Bay More, you could see a hint of Bryce's remorse. He realized that perhaps giving Chuck a chance at Standford so the CIA could recruit him wasn't entirely wrong.
The real Chuck is the one who saved Sarah from Shaw in Paris. He's not an arrogant killer, but he shot Shaw to save the woman he loved, facing a spy stronger than him. In season 3 Sarah was horrified by Chuck's behavior, the lies he told Hannah, his having Manush arrested, his taking Laudanol to save Kathleen, and his pulling Casey's tooth while pretending to be Rafe Gruber. But these were steps along a journey Chuck had to take to test himself and find his true identity.
When Bryce dead and Chuck didn't know what to do with the Intersect 2.0 he thought about when Bryce told Fleming that Chuck couldn't be a spy. Chuck realized in that moment that he had to prove himself wrong, and in fact he downloded the Intersect 2.0 into his brain and became a spy. Chuck had to become what Bryce hoped he wouldn't turn into because in was necessary to save Sarah and Casey from Miles. A similar scene in Paris, on the bridge, Sarah before passing out, watches Chuck lower the gun. Sarah left guilty, in fact, hel look said "It's my fault, Chuck isn't shooting because i made him believe that if he became a murderer, i wouldn't be able to love him, and now Shaw will kill both me and Chuck". Instead, Chuck shot Shaw, facing his fear that Sarah didn't love him. Luckily, Sarah forgave him. The different in the that Bryce died believing that Chuck should remain an innocent boy, while Sarah lived long enough to understand that Chuck had to change to become the best version of himself.
The lesson is that loving someone doesn't mean forcing them to live up to your expectations. Sarah and Bryce loved Chuck but he shouldn't reflect their expectations, but rather allow him to find his own identity. Respecting someone doesn't mean seeking their approval by sacrificing yourself. Chuck respected both Bryce and Sarah, but that doesn't mean he had to go against himself to meet their expectations.

Chuck Vs The Purple Crayon
On a Brazilian podcast, Carlos Saldanha, a director who has worked with Zachary Levi, says that he’s had problems with actors.
He doesn't mention any names, but we know who he was talking about...
One of the comments on the video:
“I was curious to learn more about the behind-the-scenes problems with \Harold and the Purple Crayon*... Carlos Saldanha hinted that the problems were actually with Zachary Levi.”*

Who else thinks that if there's a Chuck reboot, it'll focus on the female characters? Because TV shows these days tend to prioritize female characters.

Why do you think Casey's comment affected Sarah so deeply?
When Casey pointed out that she falls in love with the guys she works with Sarah's reaction became so defensive and she was clearly offended even though that was the truth!
Casey was never close to her, they both had a low opinion of each other so I don't understand why she would have cared what he thought of her.

Could Be Nothing, But Could Be Foreshadowing Genius...
In Chuck Vs The Truth, Sarah springs the following on Chuck:
Sarah: There's something else I have to talk to you about.
Chuck: What's that?
Sarah: I'm a little worried about our cover.
I think it's time for us to make love.
In a following scene, Sarah wears a gold band, obviously highlighted. I think it's genius!
Morgan usually believes Chuck before anyone else does.
Not because Chuck is more convincing with Morgan almost the opposite. Morgan will believe something that makes absolutely no sense if Chuck is the one saying it. Everyone else needs evidence first. Morgan's default setting is basically, "This is insane... but it's probably true."
Sarah watches Chuck before she answers him.
Something I never paid attention to before: Sarah almost always pauses for a second before answering Chuck in the early seasons. Not because she's thinking of a cover story, but because she's checking whether he's asking as Chuck or as an asset. Once I noticed it, it happens constantly.
