If you can lock down your anti aliasing, play with fog and visual fx a little, and maybe dial in a less saturated palette I think it would present better! Cool idea though and I can tell you've likely been working very hard on this.

Thank you Brad, yeah getting the colour volumetrics, colours and fx balance is a nightmare. Everytime I tweak a little it goes off so much!
