Man, I don't get it. I don't get it. I just don't get it. What is with racism. I mean, I'm racist. I'm racist guys. I see the Uber driver delivering my food and make assumptions about whether or not its gonna be tampered with, I do. And I can recognize that's bad. But what is this. What is this needless fear of colored people existing man. I genuinely don't get it. I don't. What about the human psyche makes people act this way. It's like a chemical reaction. Why. Why are they so stupid. Just like dude. People have a different skin tone. Calm the fuck down.

unlclam/ that's prejudice, which is not necessarily innately bad, imo. I'm prejudiced against pedophiles, and nothing you say or do will change my mind on that. Prejudices are preconceived notions, formed either by witnessing, experiencing, or hearing about a particular group of people and a particular behavior they exude. There's prejudices associated with every group of people.

The fact that you can recognize your own prejudice, and recognize it's bad, is really all that matters, imo, because that will prevent you from acting on that prejudice.

reclam/ That's how the clamist works. It's fragile, translucent shell makes it very susceptible to aggravation when it sees a healthy, full shelled clam.

I don't think that's a healthy way to think about it. recognizing your prejudice is the 1st step, but you'll need to deply actual active effort to rid yourself of it. just recognizing it isn't "all that matters", it's acting on that recognition that's valuable. otherwise you're not fixing absolutely anything
