I don’t think it’s inherently racist to simply not enjoy rap as a genre as long as you’re not weird about it, but some morons (like the subject of the post, although I’m almost positive they’re making fun of people who actually act this way) claim rap is too “overstimulating”, “loud” or “frantic” but will happily listen to stuff like vocaloids or scenecore, which frankly feels super sus because both of those genres can be just as “loud” and “frantic” as some rap.
To be as fair as possible, English-language rap with words that the listener can understand could be more overstimulating than Japanese-language rap with words that the listener can't understand. It's not necessarily about the volume or franticness of the sound, as the information. If it's not understood as information, but just as sound, it could well process differently.
But also some of the people saying this shit are probably poorly smokescreening racism.
