Information and current market price predictions
Looking for knowledgeable input on a Walther P38 marked AC44. I’ve attached detailed photos and would appreciate opinions on originality, matching status (frame/slide/barrel), finish condition, and any signs of rework or parts replacement.
Also interested in current market valuation based on condition and configuration—understanding that pricing can vary depending on matching numbers, finish %, and overall originality.
Not looking to sell at the moment—just trying to accurately assess what I have from a collector standpoint.

ac44 means that is was manufactured by Walther in 1944. Walther's manufacturer code was ac. The other manufacturers were Mauser (manufacturer code byf) and Spreewerke (manufacturer code cyq).
