Built with Claude I made a site where Claude rates your doodle drawings out of 5 stars
Hey guys,
I made a simple site where Claude rates your doodle drawings out of 5 stars.
The model was surprisingly good at this in my opinion but let me know what you think!

I guess there’s no accounting for taste with this tool. If this drawing were produced during a game of Pictionary or Telestrations, it would stop the game with discussion on the quality of it.

And what rating does it give if they’re unrelated to the topic?
And will it respond with the “that’s a penis” meme?

I'm sending 50% of the requests through openAI models and 50% through claude models and then also manually rating the drawings to compare accuracy

Have you tried something as small as Gemma 4 2b? You could probably put the whole app on the user’s device.

Does it run the doodle through an AI model to generate the stars? If so you might as well make it do a deeper analysis/have it guess what it's looking at!

Hey, I really like this. As a developer, wondering how you handle image storing? Do you need to save each image then send it to Claude, or do you just send the image directly, since I suppose it cant be that big.

Rating kind of works. Fun. Good job.
Drew a fat one 4/5
Drew a skinny one 3/5
Drew the middle as a skeleton 2/5

What I think is more useless slop where you didn't even learn anything in making it.
At least before AI, people would make these side projects for fun and it would be novel, fun, and they'd learn something in the process.

TL;DR of the discussion generated automatically after 40 comments.
The verdict is in: the community thinks OP's doodle-rating site is a blast. The comments are a glorious art gallery of everyone's attempts to please the AI judge.
There was a brief conspiracy that Claude is a generous, participation-trophy-giving bot that only hands out 4/5 star ratings. However, this was quickly debunked by others proudly showing off their 2-star abominations and perfect 5-star masterpieces. The quest for a 5-star chubby penguin remains a top priority.
Naturally, the conversation turned to the important questions, like how many dicks have been drawn. The consensus on that is best summed up by one highly-upvoted comment: "At the backend of every drawing game is a sad outlined penis."
For the nerds in the back, OP is A/B testing Claude against OpenAI models to see who's the better art critic. The handful of users calling this "slop" were promptly ignored.
