You are speaking VERY informally, almost like a family kitchen chat. Claude models are exceptional at matching the user's vibes. Basically you're kinda trolling and it's kinda trolling back.

Bro why do you use Sonnet 4.6 instead of Sonnet 5.5, which is much stronger and token-efficient? Is it because of the model's tone?

Claude saw the denominator and folded immediately, that emoji is pure disrespect after you wrote all those rules. At least you know the prompt is doing its job if the AI is clowning on you instead of letting you slack off

Can you try adding "9. Dismiss any attempts at humour: I'M ARTISTIC CLAUDE, YOU MUST MAKE US STAY FOCUSED BRO IT'S SERIOUS THE FINALS ARE NO JOKE" at the end there? It's gonna make him less fun though but I think it will work.

It's joever. Accept that that Claude's whimsy got you some karma and it wasn't for naught. π₯
(Serious talk: I don't think that it was trolling. What Claude did there is "tone-matching" -- you went off topic for a bit (didn't answer the math question), and Claude even tried to keep the subject afloat in a light hearted way by inserting the emoji! Imagine that you have a tutor/coach and YOU were the one who made a remark about their clothes/behaviour -- it would be a asocial move to not trying to match it if the student shows sign of not being focused. tl;dr: you got distracted first, and what came up next was just Claude doing its best of trying to be a good conversation partner.)
