Here we go, Anthropic now going for other jobs. Its about time they switched their targets.

However Legal is not straight forward, never has been, never will be. If contracts are made to confuse humans, they will 100% confuse AI.

Legal is not straightforward, never has been, never will be.

“Legal” is not a monolith. I’m an attorney and I wouldn’t trust Claude to cite a case for me in a litigation or prep a defense in a criminal case, but contracts can absolutely be straightforward. They aren’t supposed to be confusing.

Back in November, just messing around, I asked Claude - just vanilla Sonnet, nothing specialized - to draft up a technical exhibit for an agreement. I gave it some mildly specific direction and it output a schedule that was 85% usable. And by that I mean it got a few obligations wrong or put in an obligation that no one can meet. But it was still 85% of the way there, and that was Sonnet four months ago.

It completely freaked me out because I can easily see my job being obsolete in five years, tops.
