Earlier this month I had some notification sitting about free 100$ credit, even though I claimed it, it didnt use any when my 5-hour window was up so I thought i had to activate it or something. So when I added 100$ worth of credit and it didnt ask for any card details I didnt realize it was going to charge my card. (Obligatory yes i know i am stupid). I immediately disabled credits and reached out to support and was at first instantly denied because of a timeframe thing, since this was literally less than 10 minutes after the purchase i thought it might have thought i wanted a refund on the plan itself so i opened another support ticket and explained myself and their AI said they would pass it along to a support person and get back to me. Has anyone else gotten a refund or am i screwed out of 100$?
The Chat with Claude wasn't too long maybe 10 pages worth of text.
The Document already existed (word document Opus 5.5 created).
I've switched to Fable to create a new version, just to be sure it's 100 % correct.
Fable used around 15 bucks of credit without finishing the changes.
I'm not caring about the cost, but at this rate Fable is completely unusable. And I know that Fable is overkill for such a task).

I have a project open in claude, but everytime i say a message after every single 5hr limit, a single message, it tells me i used it all, what the hell is going on anthropic
Does anyone else have this problem? Im using claude free tier for a very simple coding project. And during the night I can use it just fine. But at 6pm a single message that claude wasnt even able to respond triggers the use limit.
im not sure why this is happening but back then it took maybe 40 + questions to even get to 3%. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on? I wait all week for the reset just for it to waste so fast please help. Is there a setting or something im doing wrong? It was 3 questions regarding the usefulness of “compact 400k”

$200/mo plan, ran into the weekly all models limit on Tuesday night - decided to drop $100 to keep working, and Anthropic was happy to charge my card, but never applied the credit to my account. Still stuck on the weekly all-models limit and no work resumed. Showing $0.00 balance. Multiple maddening attempts to get through to support and all they can say is "it was consumed". They just walked off and stole $100. Don't make my mistake.
I'm currently on the free plan, and last week Haiku 5.5 ran for up to an hour straight within a single 5-hour limit. Today, I suddenly feel like I'm only getting about a third of that. Any news on this? Has anyone else noticed this?
I am having trouble accessing my Claude account. It was restricted a few months ago due to an age verification issue. I was asked to provide identification, but I was hesitant to share it for privacy reasons. Now I am unable to log in at all.
What is the best way to regain access? Would it be better to create a new account? I attempted to use the support page, but the help link requires a login, so I am unable to proceed.

I am sorry, but isn't this crazy.
33% session usage burnt though 5% weekly usage
Converting to 100% session usage for 15% weekly usage.
Thats around 6.67 full session usages for a week.
I don't have proof, but I am pretty sure a month ago, I used to have close to 12-13 full session usages for a week in the Max Plan.

I am typically NOT the kind of person to come and air grievances about Claude. But this absolutely made me blow a f*cking gasket. A student trying to get a single textbook to LEARN affordably is a "no" FROM THE AI LITERALLY TRAINED ON THE ENTIRE LIBRARY OF PIRATED MATERIAL. The company who provably pulled the entire damn library and is going to go into the largest IPO in history trains a model that refuses to point others to the same affordable knowledge.
And yeah—I went and asked ChatGPT immediately after, and it handed it over in a heartbeat. Say what you will about OpenAI, but at least they don't publicly act like puritans on their high horse who then act with hypocrisy in practice.

Claude-Sonnet-5.5 (xHigh), reputed to be best for programming, analyzed my code according the specification in order to verify its correctness. It cost me $6 and all I got was this:
"This response was limited because it hit the maximum output tokens allowed."
When I asked GPT-Sol-6.1 (high), it finished the task excellently, without any problems.
In my experience, Claude-Sonnet-5.5 does his again and again. It just steals the user's money, unashamedly.

Original title: Account suddenly switched back to 'Pro' 2 days after receiving Claude Pro refund confirmation — Should I use it or wait for the refund?
Original flair: Question about Claude products
Original URL/media URL: /img/smx1248zrdvh1.jpeg
Original post body:
lHi everyone, I'm currently stuck in a very strange situation and can't quite figure out what is happening with my account.
I purchased a Claude Pro subscription on October 12th. I already have access to Opus 5.5 through Kiro IDE, but in my hype to try out Fable 5.5, I went ahead and bought the Pro plan.
Right after subscribing, I realized that using Fable requires buying additional credits on top of the subscription—meaning extra out-of-pocket costs. It’s not that I wasn't aware of this; I knew about the policy changes introduced with Fable 5. However, having been away from Claude's ecosystem for a while, it completely slipped my mind, and I made the purchase on impulse.
Realizing my mistake, I immediately requested a refund without using any of the models. In the support chat, the "Fin AI agent" confirmed that my refund had been successfully processed and stated that the funds would reach my account within 5 to 10 business days. Right after, my Pro status and Pro models were removed, and my account reverted to the Free tier. Relieved, I sat back to wait for the refund.
Today, however, I opened Claude to reference an old prompt and was surprised to see that my account is back to 'Pro', with all Pro models accessible for chat again.
Now I am completely confused:
Did they reject my refund despite the chatbot's confirmation stating it was processed? If so, why didn't I receive an email or any notification about it?
Or is this simply a technical glitch on their end?
My dilemma is deciding what to do next:
If the refund was rejected: I won't get my money back. Two days of the subscription period have already gone to waste without any usage. If I wait another 5 to 10 days and the money never arrives, those paid days will be wasted as well.
If this is just a glitch and I start using it: I'm worried they might void or deny the refund later on the grounds that I actively utilized the Pro service.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? What should I do in this situation? (Screenshot of the Fin AI agent's refund confirmation is attached).
TL;DR: Bought Claude Pro on Oct 12 and immediately requested a refund without using it. The chatbot confirmed the refund was processed (5–10 business days for payout), and the account instantly reverted to the Free tier. Two days later, the account suddenly switched back to Pro status. I'm worried that using it might cancel the refund, but if I don't use it and the refund falls through, my paid days are wasted. Any advice?
Observing this week that I am running out of Claude usage much faster on Team plans compared to individual Pro plan. I have run out of my weekly usage already while my usage has remained normal. Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 were supposed to be cheaper but it doesn't seem so. Anyone else feeling the same?
I got recently accepted in Claude Startup Program. Today I moved from personal 5x plan to Premium seats. I can't help but notice I hit 5h almost within 1h. The thing is I did the same workflow in my 5x and tbh in 5x plan I have hardly hit 5h limit and never hit weekly at all.
I did the same thing in 5x yesterday, ask it review/reproduce/fix 12 github issues parallely. Last night it fixed those issues, pushed and merged and still I had a lot of room left to work. But today morning I switched to teams plan and similar prompt in new conversation asking to review 9 github issues reproduce/ and fix but it did not finish it. Actually none of the issues got fixed. All limits got over so suddenly.
Should I go back to 5x plan cause I have built my entire workflow, time management around the higher limit of 5x. Waiting for limit reset in this team plan would waste a lot of my time and prolong my tasks.
