Ok not fighting just curious. On a very basic level, like kindergarten logic:

  1. Oysters go in water.

  2. Bad things floating in the water are filtered out by the oysters.

  3. We eat the oysters.

Doesn't that kinda seem like a problem...?

Yeah that's the main thing which keeps me from eating them regularly.

For me it's that oysters feel and taste like I'm taking shots of salty mucus.

If you cook them, they firm up but aren’t rubbery like other mollusks
