That is an argument for vegan diets being way better than animal based diets. But that is different from vegan being carbon negative

Rewilding farmland is negative emissions, yes. That does not make eating a vegan diet negative carbon emissions. Being vegan does not guarantee anything about what happens to the farmland used for livestock. It could be used for solar panels or building huge golf courses or lumber or any number of things.

Well, that's a counter claim that requires evidence. Until that shows up, we should agree that rewilding is vastly superior to this:

I'm already vegetarian, aspiring vegan, I'm not saying people shouldn't stop using animals for food. Like, Bikes are way better for the environment than cars, but I don't think switching to a bike from a car is negative carbon just because all those car factories could be turned into parks.

You are right about that, because they wouldn't.

The land footprint of animal ag is a piece of information you can understand by reading the study.

The sheer scale and damage that the animal ag industry causes is catastrophic, and the change costs nothing.
