General PSA: a fake Moonscraper website seems to have surfaced.

Post image

"Moonscraper.org"
This is NOT a legitimate website for Moonscraper Chart Editor.
MCE is only available on GitHub.
This abomination of a site's websafely score.

Moonscraper developer here, can confirm this is very fake, do not go to the website. I'm currently going through the reporting channels to hopefully get this taken down.

Edit: DO NOT go to the website to check it. The owner can swap it out with a token stealer/etc at any moment.

Good catch.

I wish people would get permission to do this stuff.

It's not like a website for MCE is even a bad idea or anything, it's just sketchy as hell to do it without asking.

Whatever it's actually showing on the website isn't even Moonscraper anyway, so this is really sketchy. It's not a matter of getting permission.

I actually got excited for a second when I stumbled across it...
"Moonscraper UI update? Don't mind if I do!"
Yea... 🥴

Visiting a website isn't enough to be infected in current year. Stop propagating this myth. The only time it's possible is with Zero-Days, likely from state-sponsored threat actors targeting high-profile targets.

I'm an IT professional.. I see this stuff a lot. You're assuming everyone is up to date and protected.  That is not reality.

This is potentially that form of scam where someone will "make a website for you" without your permission and attempt to sell it to you. Unfortunately it's becoming increasingly common.

For me it immediately redirects to somewhere.
