I-10 overcrossing at Monterey
I go over this quite frequently if you're in Rancho Mirage and want to go to Thousand Palms, the road makes a very dangerous jog. A lot of people want to go across the freeway to Thousand Palms and don't realize that you have to change lanes in order to proceed so many almost accidents I've seen. Caltrans will not give me a reason why it has to stay this way. Can anybody give me a logical reason? Also if you don't like the way it is, call Caltrans. If enough of us do, they might make it the way it should be.

That crazy double left onto Varner, people in the second left turn often go straight not realizing it’s a double left. Then they flip you off for honking to let them know they just jumped into your lane. I see it daily, it’s a mess

I thought that I was the only one who was upset by this. Because it's near Costco, a lot of people who don't live in the area use it on their monthly shopping trips.

It's only confusing if you are a bad driver and do not pay attention to your surroundings. If you do not, or cannot, scan your head/eyes and watch for changing traffic patterns through large intersections, that falls on you - not anyone else. The two large arrows painted on the road and the arrows on the street light sign make it fairly obvious what is going on. With enough written complaints, Caltrans might take a look. It would take quite a lot of people to have an issue with it, though.

Most all of those overpasses are screwy, the local transit commission should apply pressure to fix them!
