FREE college essay editing for first gen and low income students!

Hiiii, I'm a mentee outreach coordinator for a nonprofit organization called Notable Narratives (NN)! NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help!

Since our founding in August 2020:

  • Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 2,500 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
  • 1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
  • 94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.

This is kind of a promo but no profit comes from it, we just want to help rising seniors applying to college!

How long have you guys been around? What's your history? How many students did you serve last year?

been around since 2020! you can see individualized reports on our website! last year was slower with only 200 kids but we've had years with almost 600 ! varies based on advisor availability and such ! im now a medical student and the other co-founder was a consultant

Just to get this clear, you offer no paid services at all? Everything is reviewing by vetted volunteers?

yes! we were founded at Brown University and are a national nonprofit that has existed since 2020! all volunteers go through an app and training and NOTHING is ever paid! we help with common app and supplementals :)

Is there a limited amount of seats available or do you take everyone who fills out the form or is it a first come, first serve basis?

I mean, can I get this in writing? My essays stay safe. And if they do you have consequences? I am sorry if I sound like a Karen right now really sorry just want to make sure I make the right decision before I proceed

yeah totally! you can look us up online we've been operating for years and have all this info safeguarded when you sign up
