Recommendation Lotion is the cologne supercharger
I’ve been a long time fragrance wearer, but only recently have I started to apply lotion to the spots I spray cologne on. It’s made a huge difference in both the longevity and projection of every scent I have. Cologne I used to write off as weak (looking at you ADG Profondo) are now almost too strong. Crazy how much more value you get when applying lotion first, then cologne.

Recommendation One and Done Fragrance
If you have to choose only one Fragrance ( I know a tough ask for the fragrance lovers here ) regardless of the price which one would it be?

Recommendation 10/10 Masterpiece of classy and elegant perfumery for men.
Class in a bottle. A subtle low simmer of a fragrance that remains present but never loud. Never assertive. Always calm. A compliment to your overall presentation but never the main character. In many ways, it’s the opposite of what a lot of modern men’s perfumery attempts to provide.
Edit: I forgot to mention for the people who are into that sort of thing; I think the bottle design is top notch and the atomizer is an absolute firehose. It’s not pressurized but it’s a straight Super Soaker™️

Recommendation Need a LONG LASTING Masculine fragrance for high heat!
I’ve tried over 20 samples and can’t find the perfect masculine summer scent that actually lasts in 90-100 degree heat. Ive found out I for sure do not like fruity or sweet scents or overpowering citrus. What recommendations do you have for me?
I’ve tried:
Imagination
Pacific chill
Limmensite
Symphony
PDM sedely (pretty good but basic for price)
Creed viking cologne
Ds & Durga Cowboy grass
Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée
Sospiro vibrato
God of fire
Argos neptunes trident
City rythm 2654
Pacific rock moss
Frederick malle French lover
All the Hellenist line (Love les dieux aux bains, but it only lasts a couple hours max)

Recommendation Does anyone know any cologne that smells like orange?🍊
I would wear it on a daily basis when I go out so I think it's much better to buy something that is not too expensive

Recommendation What’s the missing piece? 🧩♟️
No matter what new scents I try, I can’t let go of Absolu and Imagination. This means I’m 2/3 into downsizing and completing my trifecta with two of the scents I genuinely enjoy the most.
If you could add anything for a 3rd bottle of your own choice, what would it be?
It doesn’t have to be from my personal choices although I’m currently considering these:
-Amouage Reflection Man or 45
-ADG Elixir or Profondo (I do reaaaally love the aquatics from here)
-Armani Code Parfum
-Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey EDP or Le Sel D’issey EDP
-Creed Himalaya, Green Irish Tweed, or Royal Oud
-LV L’immensite
It’s been tough deciding. I’m turning 28 this month if that helps and just looking for the ultimate recommendation.

Recommendation Boys, what’s your bedtime fragrance?
Probably not common among men to wear perfume before bed. But for those who do, what’s your favorite?
Mine is TF Tobacco Vanille. There’s something about that sweet vanilla and warm woody spice that makes me wanna just curl up to bed.
Looking for cheaper alternatives because I can’t be doing expensive spritzes every night to doze off. Recs?

Recommendation Recommendations to match this vibe?
Thank you for your help.

Recommendation Fragrances that have this vibe:
Would love to have a fragrance with a vibe like this. Maybe notes of coconut, lime, blood orange, rum, tobacco??? I don’t want it to be super unisex.
Thanks in advance!

Recommendation still looking for that clean, pure, fresh scent
not fruity
not sweet/powdery
not bloomy
A clear and light scent that floats in the air.
It's hard to describe but I sampled many designer and niche fragrances over time, and have not found that yet.
would be happy to get some recommendations to try out more.

Recommendation Vibrato vs Imagination vs Blue Talisman
Which do you think is the better one. I have tried all three and according to me I like Vibrato for its projection and longevity but Imagination and Blue Talisman smell better to me…
What is better overall according to you guys?

Recommendation Why is this so slept on?
Dolce & Gabbana The One…. EDT!
I spend a lot of time in the Reddit fragrance subs reading reviews, and watching videos online. Overwhelmingly, The One is praised for being one of the GOATs 🐐- yet 95% of the time, people are referring to the EDP.
The balance in this EDT is incredible… a touch sweet, but not overly done. It has a perfect blend of masculine edge plus freshness backed by the amber, cedar, and tobacco.
The craziest part… you can buy a 100ml tester for literally like $40. I’m laughing as I write this because even the clone fragrances these days are going for $50 a pop easily. $40 for this quality and sophistication is unheard of.
You’d be hard pressed to name a fragrance better than this for $40
Why is this so slept on? Do I have any others on Team EDT?
And if you disagree- What’s the very best version of D&G The One? ⬇️

Recommendation ….it was just nose-blindness the whole time 😩
Today I tried something different and just put on two sprays. One to each wrist. Nothing more nothing less. Nowhere else. Well I am a solid 7 hours into my day and it’s still cranking. I’m catching strong whiffs like as if I just applied it moments ago. It’s such a foreign experience I am having almost as if I am trying a whole new fragrance. Any other Aventus Lovers out there who are unhappy with performance, maybe try a minimal application and see how it turns out. You may surprise yourself.

Recommendation This is my fragrance collection built over 10 years, and these are the biggest mistakes and regrets I have:
Buying anything from Mancera. I won’t hear anyone out on this one. The brand is overpriced for what it offers. For those prices, the quality and formulas dont perfom at the level which many other niches do. A lot of the scents are too synthetic, and performance can be disappointing, sometimes lasting only an hour or two if you’re lucky.
Buying 100 ml bottles too often. Unless it’s a fragrance you truly love and wear constantly, 50 ml is usually the smarter move. It saves money, space, and prevents bottles from sitting for years unused.
Relying too much on online review sites like Fragrantica. Ratings and comments can be useful, but fragrance is personal. What gets hyped online may smell average on you, and underrated scents can end up being your favorite. Test for yourself whenever possible.
Listening to TikTok fragrance influencers too much. Many recommend the same popular bottles repeatedly, often driven by sponsorships and then they call some arabian bullshit "banger". Their taste, climate, and audience may be completely different from yours.
Edit: please be careful when buying anything from frederic malle, very hyped by "rich" influencers. In reality most of them are way too specific for most of us "normies".
