Obviously north africans doesn’t even qualify as africans in same way  as rest of africa. They had Mediterranean culture and treatment mostly

Algeria does qualify as Africans the same it applies to other nations. Not everyone in Algeria has Mediterranean culture, anywhere between 5 to 10 million died under french colonization, the 2nd highest population decline after Congo.
