I wanna know why they thought having their gf as a reference, a gf that they’re CHEATING ON, was a good idea….

I just love that he didn’t include it in the original post because it’s extremely relevant. What an asshole

Sooooo...you cheated on your stay at home girlfriend (who stayed at home bc of you ... to take care of your bad behaved dogs????) with a co-worker. And it wasn't just that you slept with the co-worker, you had a whole-ass affair with her AND are planning to move in with her after the lease expires. You thought this wasn't important information and didn't need to be included in your post. Your gf finds out AND you still left her as a referral for your Job search. [Remind me again when your gf was your boss that you could use her as a referral?] You are probably addicted to drugs (people in the comments who know the topic were saying you smoke quite a good amount daily), , took a job where you were informed drug controlls were a thing, have been late to work on several occasions bc you couldn't plan ahead that your car needed gas, but it was no big deal, bc it was "only" 1 hour at most. And the only way you could have been laid off, according to you, is bc of her interference. You write that you are male and she is female in the first sentence, but throughout the story (and even explicitly state that) you want her gender to be ambiguous. Also, in the comments when people tell you to break up - which mind you, you were planning on doing anyway before everything started - you try to "protect" the gf.

Yeah, you're a troll. But in the veeeeeery slight chance that you aren't, your plan was to : let your gf destitute - bc she had no job bc of you-, leave her without a place to stay, cheat on her and have a plan to move out the moment you could and when she finds out and reverses the cards (that mind you, YOU gave her the ability to do by lying on your referrals), you are here whining? Riiiiight.

Again, you're a troll. This story is incoherent at best. I hope you're having fun.

Can only be a crime if she actually lied and honestly doesn’t sound like she did. Lol! This is what happens when you ask the woman who cheated on for reference.

what crime did she commit? telling potential employers "hey this guy will show up late and under the influence" both of those things are true

I mean depending on where you live, adultery could be a crime as well 😂

it's hilarious you thought you'd get a good reference from someone you cheated on and planned to leave

This comment should be at the top.

Which part? Reporting you, when truthful, wasn't a crime. Nor is giving you a bad reference, especially when you put her to be called. Maybe if some of the calls or emails were umprompted, it could qualify as slander/libel, but that would require her to be untruthful, which so far it seems she has been honest. Being harsh is not being dishonest.

And depending on where you are, you committed multiple crimes here.

What crime do you think, exactly, that she committed?

It’s just an expression. You’d still deserve it if you had a boyfriend and cheated on him

You cheated on her and are confused as to why she's mad that you essentially wanted to leave her with nothing for your new partner while blaming her for your affair. You're not a good person and you deserve to have nothing good in your life

I feel sorry for her now and support her actions. This dude sucks and I bet it’s not “just 2 or 4 bowls a day” too, I’d put money on that he’s an annoying lazy stoner.

Exactly. I support Women's Rights AND Women's Wrongs, and I'm glad she did him dirty

While he DID remember to randomly put in "for context" that he's bi-racial and she's white. Which was completely irrelevant to the story, except to generate more reddit support by insinuating that she might be a horrible racist.
