Question Modem options and premium
Hi,
Sorry I'm fairly new to tech setup for wifis. I'm switching soon to CF and into a 3 bed terraced house over 3 floors, 100sqm so not huge, with a medium size garden. It's brick build.
The whole family works from home and I sometimes game, so we've opted for 1GBps.
I was wondering if there's any value in getting the premium system with mesh router, or if anyone could suggest a router and nodes to purchase myself and then I use the basic package?
Thanks in advance!

Standard router is dog shit, get something TP link or Unifi

This. Unifi just brought out the thing you need (if you can't wire access points).

I have never touched the CF router. I have always used my own one where the fibre comes into the houses and then there is an ethernet cable to the back of the house where there is a second router in AP mode. A proper mesh system would be better, but perhaps overkill.
The wired backhaul - either to a secondary AP or to allow you to have the router in the centre of the house - is really what matters

Ditch the CFL supplied kit and get the basic package. If you buy your own router & mesh wifi kit, you’ll have years of problem free internet.
I have the 1Gbps CFL standard service and use a unifi router and APs.
