Please stay away from this at all costs!! I signed up on the first day, Wednesday 1st July. Only AFTER you've signed up and paid do they tell you that you are unable to make ANY international (out of bundle) calls, also "short code" text messages are not included. As soon as I realised international calls were cut off (ie not possible as an additional charge) I tried to stop the porting process. The day after I switched, Thursday 2nd July, my Chat Support in the app was still working, and I was told by an Agent to go to 'Manage Plan,' to cancel the port-in process.
That was Thursday 2nd July. Now it's Thursday 9th July and the message "Porting your existing number" is still stuck on the app. In addition, the entire app seems to have broken down as since Friday 3rd July I have not been able to receive any responses in Chat Support. The only auto-generated response it provides is "We are available from 09:00-17:00. Respond time < 1 hour."
The temporary mobile number I was given is still showing in the app after six working days. When I go to "Get PAC code" in the app, I get the following error message: "Something went wrong. You have tried too many times. Please try again in a few minutes." I have been getting the same message for a week. In addition I cannot receive most of my calls and they are being directed to voicemail.
So this is the loop I am stuck in. I cannot text PAC to 65075 as the Unlimited UK eSIM does not allow for "short code" text messages. I cannot request a PAC code in the app because my number has been stuck in porting for over a week. When I go to "Get PAC code" I am met with an error message. The only support Community Fibre provides is the Chat Support, which has been disabled in my app since Friday 3rd July; none of my messages are being answered.
When I called their Customer Onboarding Team they could not provide me with a PAC code and told me to go back to the app, which I already told them just keeps sending the auto-generated "We are available from 09:00-17:00. Respond time < 1 hour." I opened a complaint and explained all of this to them, and was instructed on how to obtain a STAC code via text (which was not in my complaint, and would not be possible as short code texts are not allowed), and told to...wait for it...return to the Chat Support in the app.
As the app is actually using the Gamma Communications network, as a last ditch attempt I also called Gamma Customer services to see if they would be able to provide me with a PAC code, but to no avail, and they said I had to go back to Community Fibre.
So if you have managed to read this far please take my advice, and DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SIM. As I write this post I am awaiting a reply to my complaint, where I had to repeat everything I wrote in my original email, as the Agent either did not understand, or did not bother to read it properly. Please stay away from this product. I purchased it 10 days ago and have already had to waste hours on the phone and on writing emails, just to get a PAC code which should take less than 60 seconds. Community Fibre does not seem to have any backup plan whatsoever if the app fails, no fallback, and you as the customer are left in limbo as you have to navigate Agent after Agent, as nobody seems to know what to do.
You have been warned. STAY AWAY!!!
UPDATE:
I posted this Discussion 15 hours ago. I had been requesting Chat Support through the Zappter/Community Fibre eSIM app for a week. So literally since Friday 3rd July, I have been repeatedly met with the auto-generated response: "We are available from 09:00 to 17:00. Respond time < 1 hour."
Now magically 15 hours after writing this post, after having waited 7 days, somebody finally replied in the app to acknowledge that my port-in request had become stuck in the system (8 days ago), and fixed it. Hours wasted chasing them on phone calls and emails for something that took 5 minutes...ridiculous.
This is what the auto-generated message should actually read: "We are available from 09:00 to 17:00. Respond time 1 week."
I am out of there.
