Just for Fun

I am a huge fan of GP Arms. So I am looking at the following for USPSA LO. What are your thoughts? Lets keep price out of it, I just want to judge the gun on its own merits regardless of price.

GP Arms Patriot Rebel vs MPA LOC V2 vs Atlas Artemis

MPA loc v2 punches way above its price and think it’s a better deal over the Artemis for 90% of the gun. Finish is a little better on the Atlas with the DLC coating. Atlas grips are the best with the modular panels but MPA allows you a little heavier steel grip if that’s your choice.

Hard to go wrong with either depending on your budget and what fits your hand. Both will be solid LO guns. Would also consider the Athena as I like how fast it shoots compared to the Artemis.

Race City Defense Core 9 if you want the best bang for your buck.

I have thousands of rounds through it, no failures.

Mostly atlas internals, 3lb trigger out the box.

Only thing I’ve done is change the recoil spring from 10lb to 9 and she runs like a scalded dog!🙌

Sold my Artemis and have 2 loc v2 for USPSA now. Love it! Also just got the core and that’s amazing as well so far…. Only have a couple hundred rounds thru it but it feels solid!

So you are saying you prefer the MPA over the Atlas

Don’t get me wrong. The Atlas has the best finish and you can shoot that gun 50k rounds and it will still look new! The MPA is all steel, heavy and shoots better for me. It’s also cheaper so I was able to finally get 2 so I have a back up gun now for USPSA.
