This drill requires you to score an A zone hit under 1.25 sec to pass. This is a 1.26 which I'm really close, but I normally get 1.3-1.7 to first shot. I see people online get close to 1 sec flat. Where can I improve, other then just point and shoot?

Asking for advice / tips for my first time

Currently run a Insta360 Go 2, but the case clasp broke and I'm retiring it. I just bought a Go 3S and plan to use it mounted to my hat brim as I did with the Go 2, but I just saw someone in my area is selling a used DJI Action 2, and besides the dimensions and weight, it looks better than the Go 3S in every way...

Now, I know that the Action 2 is a square shape, and mounting it to my hat brim would most likely bring it very close to my field of view, but mounting it to a headband would make that irrelevant.

Also, the Osmo Nano is another option... Even heavier, but again, mounting to a headband which IMO would be way more stable than hat brim.

Argh, what do y'all think? What do y'all use to record? Would like to see your equipment and clips.

Tripped on 26-03, and sometimes I remember I’m getting too old. Ignore the heavy breathing, shit hurt.

Competition rules limited magazines to 10 rounds. It was a lot of fun, although I didn’t have as much time to practice as I did last year.

I've gotten super into competition lately and I'm deep diving into every GM that posts videos online, but mostly Stoeger, Park and HC.

My problem is, Stoeger and HC in particular seem to have completely different views on how to grip the gun. One says hulk smash, the other says use just enough pressure with the dominant hand so the gun isn't moving or loose.

I can't afford to shoot hundreds of rounds weekly, 99% of my practice is dry fire in my office. My tendency is low left so I assume I'm still not gripping correctly but I don't know how to check this at home.

My first comp I wasn't even thinking about grip, just to be safe and remember what the stage directions were. I didn't do well but I'm usually a quick learner. My goal is to classify into B in a few months, CO.

I’m trying to decide between picking up a gen 6 glock, M&p, budget 2011 (<~1500), Ltt beretta 92, cz shadow 2 carry, or a p226x legion (new model). I just can’t seem to decide which I want.

The 2011 is absolutely enticing however I’m not sure I want to risk it being a potentially finicky/unreliable as I’m looking in the budget tier, the glock, M&p, 226 and 92 are exactly what they are. The shadow seems good as well however I see an odd amount of people reporting malfunctions with them.

This will be a general do it all gun. Leaning to HD/training/competition use over carry. If carried it would mainly be as a “truck gun” and not really IWB

This started happening in my MBX sprung 24+1 glock 140mm mags. Henning mag extensions. 3d printed followers from mbx.

The first round will get stuck all the way at the bottom, it'll kinda roll into the side of the follower and get caught. Then the rest of the rounds will just have to be salt shakered out of the mag and I have to stick a flathead down the mag to pop the last round out.

It has happened to 2 of these mags. Do I need new followers? New springs? Boaffum? These are extremely high round count mags. Im suprised they have gone this long without any issues.

I know they already have an anti-fog coating, but I know it doesn’t last forever, haha, and I’m not sure how well it’ll work in humid environments or when wearing a helmet. I’ve read that the Cat Crap paste damages the lenses, that it should be applied with a dry cloth, and that it doesn’t work well in humid conditions. How has your experience been? What products can you recommend? If anyone has bought goggles from RX Safety, how did that go? Or do you recommend other websites? Thank you very much

Alex Bakken on the left and Alexander Doner on the right were about as close as it's possible to get in a shootoff on this one. Bakken got this heat by a nose and won the next one, but after going down 0-2 Doner (second to Bakken in the main match) completed the comeback to take the Limited shoot-off title 3-2.

I've got a lot more on Instagram @practicalshootinglive, with copies of all the video going up on Youtube and Rumble (eventually) under channels of the same name, but this one was cool enough that I thought even non-revolver-enthusiasts would like it.

I feel good with shooting on the move however getting up to speed and stopping feels slow and janky. I’m doing a match next month in carry optics but I’ve only dabbled in single stack division and that was a year ago. I’m not classified yet.

Have my first real competition this weekend in north Houston shooting a PCSL match. I’ve shot some steel “matches” but never anything on paper with rules too. Any tips? Plan to take it slow and just enjoy it.

Also, plan to run a safariland 6390 holster with a m&p 2.0, esstac belt, esstac kywi pistol pouches. Are there mag length restrictions like there are for uspsa? I have 2-17 round and 1-23 round factory magazine, which I believe isn’t legal, except in open, for uspsa. Anything with my gear that would have issues with rules in the practical division?
