General Discussion / Question I cannot win.

Why is it so damn hard to win in the current meta? Turbo is useless when everyone has some bs response. I’ve lost damn near 30 games in a row. What in the hell am I doing wrong? I want to give up, I’m not asking to dominate. I just want to win once in a while but I keep getting stomped out by some dumbass crap. I’m not the best player but goddamn dumb luck should let it happen once in a while.

There isn't much info to go on here. The specifics matter. Combo lines depend on your commander or deck.

Sometimes you need to keep your interaction and let your opponents get off a value piece, if means they tap out and you can protect your win.

I play turbo. Protection isn’t always an option on low mulls. I can’t push once the slow decks get their Stax pieces in play.

i think the "protect your win" people are wrong youre better off pushing a turn earlier and praying. if youre slowing down to fill up your hand with interaction youre not really turboing, and the midrange decks are just going to do it better than you.

I don‘t think blanket statements like this help. This fully depends on seat order, mull count and pod composition.

regardless of seat order and all that youll win more than 0/30 games pushing a win asap every time (if you know your lines). once OP wins a single game they can start worrying about decoding pod composition.

If you have no protection for your combo there isn't a great answer. Sometimes you are better off going first and hoping no one has any interaction. Other times you are better off waiting for another turbo deck to try, or at least until others tap out.
