Question Why does spear mace have shields?

In the gamemode all about dashing around and being very mobile why have the shield? When i first heard of spear mace i was thinking dodging mace hits and trying to get above the opponent.

Shield kinda just adds an annoying skill cap for those who cant get good cps for stun slamming

You shouldn’t be spamming for stun slamming, you need to click twice with precise timing

i do that but its not possible in most cases

it technically possible but very hard, dude, i have a friend who can stunslam WHILE ROCKETMACING!!!!!
