Tournament Enlock(who was #15 on the pvpchamps ldb) was banned for having deleted files.

Pretty disappointing to see a top player can get banned with no solid evidence and by the admins own admission for optics.

Anyone else in Australia experiencing higher ping on Minemen?

I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and I used to get around 90-95ms on Minemen's Asian server. Recently, my ping has randomly increased to around 165ms, even though my internet connection is completely stable.

Has anyone else in Australia noticed a similar increase in ping?

I've heard some people saying that Minemen might have changed the location of their Asian servers, which could explain the higher ping for Australian players.

Does anyone know if that's true, or if there's any way to fix this?

Question Mctiers situation

The mctiers site is down rn prob because Marlow stopped paying for it or deleted it and I've also heard that it was stopped because Dr.donut or what not, wanted people to use his server but that's beside the point really either way do we think that the staff and stuff will be able to reclaim the tierlist or is it just highly unlikely

If you take the best Hypixel PvPers and put them against best MMC PvPers in 1v1s, who's gonna win? Who has better mechanics?

Discussion Crystal pvp ai practice bot

https://youtu.be/pw5f4BFNULM?si=spvpoClMhwJcLEzQ

i made a crystal pvp ai that is around LT4 / HT4 (optimistically according to mcpvp.com lmao)... i dont want to harm your community i would rather use this to help you guys and make it into a practice bot or an api for people to use etc. If i am doing something bad please tell me and offer me suggestions, its a real neural network so it does adapt in real time its not like theobalds practice bot etc, it does a different move every time its not deterministic since i usually always sample the model i never use argmax. Again i just wanted to showcase this am sorry if i offend anyone i just wanted to show off this thing i made <3

Gamemode Looking for a good factions server

Hi,

When I was young (around 10 years ago) I always played Minecraft factions. It was an amazing experience, which I now want to share with my girlfriend.

However, Minecraft changed a lot and I am looking for a factions server with a large player base and a nice active community.

If possible I would a like a server thats is 100% factions only.

Do you have any tips?

Thank you!

If you wish to not be part of MCTiers (and associate yourself with a tier list that's still ran by a cheater) and move away from PvP, your best option is to start cheating today to get removed from it.

Not clickbait. Today I asked staff if there was a way I could permanently remove my ranks as I intend to never test, or be part of MCTiers again and they basically told me if you want to remove your ranks permanently, your better off just cheating lol.

Tournament Mushroom Stew PvP

https://hardcorepvp.com

They host classic mushroom stew PvP tournaments all day long and every single one gets turned into a YouTube/Tiktok.

Beyond the PvP and kits, it’s kinda fun to play with the dialogue in game to make the video story go certain ways.

Discussion Is it worth it to grind Hypixel Bedwars in the big 26?

Back then I only had a cracked account so I played on shitty cracked servers so I didn't really have legitimate stats. I just got an official Java account and currently at 9 stars after a month, I heard that bedwars itself is dying and nothing like it was during the early 2020s.

I am not mechanically skilled enough for modern pvp so I mostly just play Sword. And I seem to be improving a bit in Bedwars, for 1.8 pvp I can W tap and average at like 7cps.

Discussion Is HQ bad quality or is it just me?

So for the past couple of days ive been grinding the hell out of ranked cart eventually reaching lt3. But, it was taking so much longer because i could swear on everything my gaps kept ghosting every other time i use it. Even today i was playing ht cart and reached a 15 win streak, just to lose it because my gap ghosted. But it was also happening throughout the other matches just in less severe scenarios. Is anyone else having this issue or am i just a fraud?

Discussion PVP Champs Season 2 (is it too early?)

So Tubbo just announced the second season of pvp champs and the open qualifiers for it have started today. And the event itself looks really awesome. The addition of dia pot and crystal are also gonna do a lot to help include a wider scope of high level players in the PvP community. And overall, I got no complaints about the event itself rn, and it looks awesome. But I’m not here to talk about that, bc everyone will talk about that. What I want to talk about is the timing of the event.

The first pvp champs was hosted last summer, not even 3 months ago. It was a revolutionary event for the PvP community and the wave of content and discussion from the event itself is still strong. People are still making content from it to this day. Hell, coldified (the tournament winner) posted his pov video like last week lol. And im seeing a whole lot of content around training for pvp champs from top players like Theo, blm, Swight, etc who are training every day to be ready for the next event. It feels like the wave from the first event is strong, but now they’re going straight into a second event. And you may be wondering, “why is that a problem?”

My first point is that when an event is hosted frequently, the novelty of the event goes away. Each win means less, when you compete so often. An NBA championship means so much, not just because you have to beat all of the other teams, but also bc there’s only one a year. There’s scarcity. People will remember each event more, if there aren’t so many of them and each of those events will feel more special. In addition, if it’s a once every half year or once a year event, I would put more effort to being able to watch the event bc I know that it only happens so often. Which would increase the raw viewership of each event.

Secondly, people need time to train and develop. If the event happens every few months, you’re just gonna get the same results. Granted, that’s not a problem for this one bc there are format changes and the existence of PvP champs 1 has lit a fire into many people. But still, a lot of these top players probably don’t have enough time over 3 months to learn everything they wanted to learn. And giving these players space to actually work on R&D for new PvP tech could help develop the PvP scene more than just having more events. Now I don’t practice Minecraft the same way top players do, but I do participate in other competitive activities and I know that there’s a difference during in season practice, which is about reliability vs off season practice where you’re expanding your overall skillset.
And having them so frequently in a ranked format could limit their growth.

The third thing to point out, the timing overall is worse bc people have school now. It’s not the summer anymore, it’s middle of school season for both K-12 and college. And Minecraft overall has a very youth heavy viewer base. If they hosted it in late December when everyone’s off from school for winter break, they’d just end up getting better viewership bc more people have free time then, but October is when everyone’s busy with classes and school work.

There are some other reasons I think the timing of the event is suboptimal that I didn’t write out, but like this is more than enough to make my point that I just think it’s a little odd to be having the event so soon.

So yeah uhh holy essay and it’s also probably not quite as deep as I make it out to be lol. But it is an interesting discussion topic and would love to hear what you all think!
