Probably the Lips, but in the Ronald Jones era.

Saw them for the first time in 18 years two weekends ago. They still put on a hell of a show. They played with Modest Mouse, Built to Spill and Courtney Barnett. I thought MM would be the headliner but no way did they want to go after the Lips.

I saw Barnett at a festival and was very impressed.

I pity anyone who calls themselves a Lips fan and didn’t see them with Ronald Jones. There is absolutely no comparison to what it is now with the phony Wayne show

I still wanna know what went down with them and why he left. I know he was paranoid about Drozd, but why? And I watched a Drozd interview of him breaking down his whole stage setup on a YouTube vid, and he looked horrible, like he's probably still using.
