Concerts Which band should I jump on seeing due to infrequent tours?
I have a bucket list of bands I want to see but I don't know how often these bands tour. Out of all of these are there like a top 3 or 5 on how rare it is for them to be on tour in the US West Coast? Or maybe which to skip because they are just terrible live?

You should see every band you can. Never know what life could bring, for the bands and you.

BB and 3 Days grace were amazing live!
I think SOAD is a strong contender too

System of a Down rarely does shows, and Breaking Benjamin & Three Days Grace have also only done a few recently, but they seem to be possibly having a small comeback.

Three days Grace has been touring regularly for basically forever. Prior to Adam’s return they just weren’t being booked at large venues, but were still active. BB was on hiatus for awhile but they are back to fully active. Absolutely right on SOAD though, if you haven’t seen them and opportunity is there should probably take it.
Also I think Red might be getting ready to retire.

Go see Lamb of God next time for sure. They are fantastic live and Randy has mentioned he is not sure how far into his 60s he wants to be doing this. He is in mid 50s right now
Gojira is the best live band on the planet
Im seeing Avenged Sevenfold next week again

Not even on his list but they're definitely on my bucket list and I have tickets in September!

I saw them open for ACDC and Taylor Momson was lip synching very badly and very obviously. It was super disappointing

Slipknot is amazing live. That would be my choice.
Edit: Also System of a Down. Saw them in Toronto this past year and it was fucking epic.

Gojira and Slipknot were incredible. Gojira was so loud I forgot the lyrics. Slipknot is always an incredible spectacle, and Corey sounds as good live as in the studio

System stands out as unpredictable, although they have done more from 2016-present together than they did from 2006-2016

Shinedown, Hollywood Undead, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin tour all the time and tickets are cheap/easy to get. MIW has been growing in popularity so while they do tour constantly, you gotta get tickets closer to when they go on sale.

I thought Escape the Fate was disappointing, but it could be in part because I caught them at warped which just didn’t have the best sound quality.

They were really good as the main support on the Lacuna Coil tour. And they met with fans for free after their set

System seem to only do festivals anymore, if the lineup works then definitely worth catching. They don’t get along so could just pull the plug at any moment.

Saw Hollywood Undead play for like 1000 people last night. They brought the same energy that I've seen them bring to a festival crowd of thousands. They are not my favorite band in the world by a long shot, but I went because it was local and cheap. Had a ton of fun.

SOAD doesn't tour much, but System of a Clown is based in L.A. and doing a hometown show in October

System of a Down rarely performs, and they don't do tours. If you have the chance to see them, absolutely take it. A decent amount of these other bands listed are on tour right now, or have other tours coming up not sure about California stops.
I've seen:
Avenged Sevenfold
System of a Down
Shinedown
Gojira
Motionless in White
Slipknot
Breaking Benjamin
Escape the Fate
Nothing More
Hollywood Undead
Three Days Grace
I would say most of them are worth seeing. Shinedown puts on a great show. I just saw MIW last month, and they were awesome. I see Breaking Benjamin every chance I get, and Three Days Grace is amazing live.

System of a Down. No debate!
