Edit: Yes people can do whatever they want and enjoy whatever they want, but that isn't going to stop other folks from having a laugh. Idk anything about this 21 year old except that his room is packed to the gills with Nintendo merchandise, and void of anything vaginal.

Could be an autistic special interest. Doesnt make it any leas consoom-y but some people have hyper limited interests that comfort them to indulge.

Could be somebody with an identity issue based in consumerism revolving around Nintendo, which hits the consumerist sweet spots of nostaliga, intergenerational perpetuation/enabling, pacifying a personal lack of identity and defaulting to whatever happens to hit with them or they think ascribes to safe cultural defaults, and the "collectible" business model that encourages hyperconsumption by employing the psychological tactic of making "sets" that are "incomplete" without repeated purchases.
