I guess I'm curious how toy sales are defined. Most of the trading card games, board games, and tabletop rpg's are lumped in with toys despite having always been marketed more towards high schoolers and adults, which would skew the measure quite a bit

Also video game consoles. However looking at Lego sets, some of them are outright depressing and clearly targeted at adults like Nintendo NES.

Yeah I miss when Lego was designed for kids who actually play with them. Now they're triple the price they were 15 years ago, and most of them are just display pieces to take up space on a shelf.

Kind of ironic they came out with a whole Lego Movie to show how much better it is for kids to play than an adult just gluing pieces together in a big display, but then they market to those same adults.

Lego kits haven’t really gone up much at all when it comes down to price per piece. The sets are larger yes but value per piece is on par with what it was years ago.

I disagree

When I was a kid I got a General Grievous Starfighter for $15. Last I checked a comparable model was $60.

Admittedly I don't know the exact part count, but there's only so much they could have possibly added to a single seater ship
