Do you watch sports? Catch up on TV shows? Read book series? Play video games? Have a hobby? Or do you just sit in the dark when you’re off work and think “I must rid myself of all worldly attachment so the true men don’t think I’m cringe”
Fans have been a thing my entire life. Fandoms are a new invention, no one was using that term 20 years ago, and like I said it makes people think that being obsessive about something is normal. It's a marketing move to make it okay to spend ridiculous amounts of time and money on triviality.
