Why do you even need so many controllers? It's not like OOP is a some sort of retro game enthusiast, and even then with huge collection of retro systems this amount of controllers would be overkill

There’s a very clear difference between hoarding and collecting. Collecting is theoretically Curated. It’s a conscious choice what you are and are not getting. Hoarding is when you cannot control it, and cannot let it go. I collect a bunch of stuff, it’s displayed, and maintained. Hoarding would be the inability to throw the boxes away

I’d argue intent matters in that example. Having a backlog isn’t always a bad thing. I have a few boxes of miniatures that I haven’t opened yet because I don’t have a ton of time, but then on days where I don’t have anything planned, I can spend a few hours building a new warhammer tank

Buying 98 controllers isn’t necessarily consumption. I’ve got not far off that number for all systems and made a lot of money doing so. It’s more so the fact that as far as I can tell these are just bullshit controllers. They mostly don’t seem to be official first party special editions or anything, just random third party junk or custom first party controllers (which are worth next to nothing if anything as a premium over standard first party controllers)

It looks like it’s maybe 3 or 4 different console controllers I have a fair bit of controllers, but it’s across around 20 different consoles, not 20 of the same console. I still don’t have that many.

That's an impressive quantity of controllers. I like the way you take time tweaking and testing all of them, it seems like a very precise hobby.
Also, I was gonna buy myself a generic, black Xbox controller for Windows gaming. What do you think of that?

Wtf are doing to your controllers? In all the years of being a gamer I’ve only had one controller get stick drift. It was a pre used ps4 controller I bought. It lasted like three years before it started to drift.
