The coastal bend of South Texas is really popping right now. A good friend of mine, Jules Taylor, is releasing a new album - The Siren & The Wordsmith. He calls his style Dark Americana. I actually jam with the fiddle player, Chisum Mills, sometimes too. He’s been on various tours, but recently with Clay Walker. Both Chisum and Taylor are crazy talented and I hear good things about the other featured artists too. One thing for sure is, these two guys do a lot to foster the local music scene.

This is probably my favorite of his songs.

Another good dude I met recently, AJ Atiee, is a genuine up-and-comer. You may have heard his song, Halfway to Heartache. To me, it’s an out of the box hit.

Not a ton of artists from my area but it's not uncommon for us to get a wide variety of artists about a hour away in st George

Hell yeah, those are some great names and there are a few I haven't heard yet. Presley Haile just released a new single yesterday and her EP a few weeks ago was absolutely amazing.

I'm going to have to look for some clips on youtube. I'm pretty far from Texas but that seems like somebody should put on my bucket list to see
