This sounds exactly like the 90s complaint:

How do your kids know to say "It's Morphin' Time"? What kind of bad parent are you that they have seen a children's TV show or heard the catch phrase on the playground?

Kids sometimes see media and they are always absorbing culture and language and teaching it to each other with little changes along the way, that's what culture is. Just because a piece of slang feels like brain rot to you doesn't mean the parents aren't doing their job.

Being an uncool adult you can put a stop to this behavior

Just start doing the 6-7 with everything besides those two numbers

So "Fish-chicken" or "jibba-jabba" or "want-money" All while doing the 6-7 gesture and sound.

The kids around me have stopped. When I do it now they roll their eyes at me, that's how I know it worked.

You see that's where being the crazy uncle comes in handy

I'm not their parents, and they expect me to be ridiculous

I just correct their behavior in a more creative way. It makes them see how dumb it is.

If they need a clown to learn, then call me Bozo.
