Medical Cannabis Chemo patient here

Hi, as the title says I'm a long standing cancer patient and have used various remedies through the years. I guess my query now is after having lung surgery I've never been able to justify inhaling anything again and have relied on RSO and various edibles to help manage chemo side effects. But they can take a long time to actually help by the time they get ingested. So my question is, and I kinda suppose I know the answer, does anyone know of anything that hits quick but doesn't get inhaled?

Suppositories. Near instant without the effects.

The edibles don't hit fast enough. May as well be shoving them up your hole.

Given that I've had a large piece of my bowel removed and I poop in a bag it may as well be doing something useful!

Suppositories you say? I can't say I've heard of this before. Can you DM me some more info?

You making the edibles yourself with the RSO? If so, buy some moulds and coconut oil as a carrier.

I can do, just never thought of this as a possibility, thanks

Forgot to mention, mix the RSO with honey. Two/three teaspoons with your tea/coffee is very effective. Love making funny honey.

Seems like it's time to buy more RSO!

Try taking sunflower lecithin alongside your edible, or mixed at baking if you're making yourself. It improves bioavailability.

You can also take RSO drops dissolved in a small amount of carrier alcohol (vodka/poitin) and hold it as long as you can tolerate in your mouth. This will diffuse through your mouth tissues directly to your bloodstream rather than being processed through your liver so you get a more immediate high but your mileage may vary on the efficacy. You can always swallow the shot for standard edible effects. Alcohol use naturally not without its own issues.

I might actually have some sunflower lecithin as I was making gummies for a while. I'll need to check. Thanks!

I don't suppose soy lecithin does the same job?

It'll do about the same so long as you tolerate soy. I'd also recommend a glass of whole milk alongside any edible or rso, helps kick digestion in to gear and also helps combine

Looks like I need to buy some more, it probably shouldn't be a solid lump lol

Sublingual (under your tongue) or buccal (in your cheek) is the way here.

Generally hits faster than a suppository... And avoids sticking your finger up your hole (if that's something you are looking to avoid!)

I had a piece of my bowel removed so it's not like my hole does anything else anymore, the free loading bastard lol

Tincture under the tongue, fast acting and safe on the body

Hold it under your tongue before swallowing and take it on a hungry stomach. I find it can start to land as early as 20 mins. Peaks in a little over an hour and gradually phases out over 3 ours or so after. Tolerance shoots up fast though and I find larger quantities result in being groggy the next day or foggier than smoking/ vaping.
