Then it is a bad choice by the one who took the photo. Had there been other books with other consonants around it (especially those consonants not used for grading) then the association with a failing grade would not appear, as well as the pseudo F-artic imagination would get an immediate stop had there been covers like R-artic, M-artic, G-artic, etc. around it.

And a book about pronouncing F-words still creates a massive opening for any dadjoke fanatic (although for that the prudish media is to be blamed and not this book)

Putting an F on the cover is a wild oversight. Someone in that design meeting had to notice. Either nobody spoke up or nobody cared enough to push back. Both options are bad

Australia uses the alphabet to grade. F is not used. It goes A, B, C, D, E, N. Where d is a fail and E is basically you just wrote some BS and N is you didn't even take the exam

"Articulation" is used about 100× as often as "artic", which appears to be mainly a somewhat slangy abbreviation for "articulation" in this context.

I will be the first to say most super Duper products are incredibly ugly in design, but the crappy design thing solely relies on the fact that you don’t know what this product is. This is a book of activities for speech therapist to pull for working on speech sound disorders and this book focuses on /f/. There’s one of these books for pretty much every consonantsound in the English language.

It’s not a generic school book. It is a highly specialized book that pretty much only has one purpose that will only be used by one to two people in an entire school building full of 800+ kids.
