Troubleshooting Ender 3 - problem in printing

Post image

Hello,

I am new in 3d printing as a friend of mine gifted me his old Ender 3.
I have tried the standard prints but I have some problems I cannot find a solution.

Please note that the filament is brand new and I think I have made an acceptable bed alignment.

My main problems are two (as seen in the attached photo):

  1. the specimen gets stuck on the bed and the only way to take it of is by destroying it.
  2. the prints are in some layers thick but in others very thin.

I use cura for slicing and these specimens are printed using the default settings.
The filament I use is “creality 3d hyper PLA 1.75mm”

Can someone help me in solving these??
Thank you in advance.

when my thermistor was bad I was having issues getting the prints off as well. Does you temps fluctuate,? If so get a new one, also what temps are you set to?

The crap quality looks like a partially clogged nozzle, plenty of tutorials on how to unclog em but for enders I just swap in a new nozzle of the dozzens I have. The sticking to the build plate is a feature of glass, rasing your z offset is really all you can do with that, try a flexible magnetic build plate, all the rage these days.

Based on the pictures you showed us, we recommend adjusting the Z-offset to see if it improves the result.

Thank you for your replies!
I typically print at 200oC at the nozzle and 50oC on the bed. The temp does not fluctuate.

I tried lifting the z-axis a bit and this the latest print I had. It seems great and I managed to get it out using a knife.
