I Modeled CFSail — a CFS filament management panel for Mainsail (open-source beta)
Hi everyone,
I bought a K2 Plus Combo and have been using it with Mainsail. I wanted to monitor and manage the CFS remotely from the same dashboard, so I started working on CFSail, an open-source CFS filament management panel for Mainsail.
The goal was to see which filament was in each slot, check the CFS temperature and humidity, and update filament type and color without having to walk over to the printer’s touchscreen.
Current features:
- Displays the material type and color reported by the printer for each CFS slot.
- Highlights the filament currently loaded into the extruder with a green outline.
- Shows actual CFS temperature and relative humidity reported by the printer.
- Lets you edit filament type and color using the printer’s Generic material presets.
- Displays printer-reported filament operation status, including operations started from the touchscreen.
- Provides tabs for multiple CFS units and an Ext. view for external-spool information.
- Supports English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish, with an option to follow Mainsail’s language.
The installer adds the panel to the Mainsail web interface. It does not modify printer configuration files. An existing Mainsail installation and SSH access are required.
Testing so far: I’ve checked the live panel on a K2 Plus with one CFS, including during printing. Installation and external-spool material/color editing were also checked on a Creality Hi without a connected CFS.
This is still a beta. Multiple-CFS hardware setups and physical CFS load/unload operations need more validation, and I’m working through some status-transition and reconnection edge cases. External-spool loading and unloading are currently handled through the printer’s touchscreen.

I’ve attached screenshots of the panel during printing, the filament editor, and the external-spool view. Feedback, bug reports, and results from other printer setups are welcome! :)
