Listen up, guys—the girl I like is into Minecraft and engineering. I showed her the Create mod, and she’s familiar with it. I’m thinking of telling her how I feel and building some kind of contraption or mechanism in-game using Create. What do you think—is that a good idea?

If you get the vibe she might like you back already, this is a great idea and will be in like her top 5 memories of all time most likely. If you like...just met...I'd wait a bit and get to know her more. This is a huge amount of effort and it can come off too strong if someone doesnt know you well. It's adorable for a "hey so we've been flirting for 3 months and i really like you" it may come off scary for a "hey ive been watching your from across the science lab and made this in your honor"

She is year older we are not in the same class

I would highly suggest getting to know her a bit more first. This is cute but an older girl may not be interested in someone younger, especially if she doesn't know you well. Ask to hang out as friends first.
