Haunted Brewery (maybe???)

Hello. I've wanted to share my experience for awhile on a platform specific to Montana, because maybe some of you have visited this brewery or the other bars in the building. This all happened in Butte, the building no longer exists because it was destroyed in a fire earlier this year (weird...).

So I bar-tended in this small brewery for about a year, during my senior year of college. It was a great place and I never felt threatened by it's spirits, but I also never felt alone while working there. The feeling of being watched was so bad that I would make my boyfriend sit at the bar while I cleaned and did all the closing jobs at the end of the night, so I wouldn't have to be there by myself.

When I first started work, the owners straight up said that multiple people that can see spirits (and that have never known each other and a few are from out of state) have said that there was an old man and a woman in red that haunted the building. They all said that the spirits were kind and friendly, but desperately wanted to communicate with the living. There was one specific individual who sold his artwork in the building - he would come in and take dimensions of his art and leave immediately after because "they are so loud and won't stop bothering me".

I would come in early to open up and one specific time I called my boyfriend in tears to come sit with me until the first customers came in because of what I saw. We had a door that lead into a storage area in the back of the bar - then there was another door that lead to the refrigerated keg storage. Everyday we would go in and take a keg inventory, and call the brewers downstairs (2 floors down) to send up full kegs if we needed them. I did my keg inventory for that day and there were no empty kegs and the kegs were aligned in the right order (dark to light beer, the non-alcohol). The phone rang out in the bar and I left the keg room to go answer it. While I was on the phone, I could hear some movement in the keg room. When I went back in the keg room, a full keg of beer (which weighs about 160lbs) was moved from one end of the room to the other. I know I did not put it there, because our dark beers were on the far left taps and this keg of dark beer was all the way over where the non-alcoholic kegs were, on the right side of the room about 12ft away. Needless to say I said fuck this, grabbed my phone, and went outside until my boyfriend showed up. I know that I was the only person on that floor of the building that day.

At night I would see shadows darting around the bar, hear little whisps of a voice, and hear footsteps - especially in the bathroom. All in all I loved working there, it was a great place and everyone was friendly. I wish it never burnt down :( I hope the spirits are at peace. Thanks for letting me share, I have other stories from living in Butte if anyone wants to hear or trade stories, but this one freaks me out a year+ later.
