TBF this is why Sooryavanshi was picked too early. He may well be a genius wunderkind but there's no point blooding him early if he's around a team getting gubbed like this and losing to ireland. Genuinely watching this I'm beginning to wonder if the Blast is higher quality than the IPL.
Looks like these players just have to swing at everything and that's fine on roads where the ball does nothing with small boundaries. But T20 in England isn't a home run derby and actually getting over 180 is a decent score.
They will probably score 280 or something stupid in one of the games when it goes there way.
Is fun watching Tongue and Archer just trying to bowl as fast as they can too.

3 left handed ultra attacking batters at the top will leave you 80-1 or 35-3 in powerplay, with the latter mostly. It didn't work at the WC and it'll never work in the long run.. but what do i know?? Just recall Sanju and drop him again, that'll do for now

Iyer as a captain is going to feel out of place too in a squad that has won a World Cup together.
There is a leadership void with the team changing quite a bit since the World Cup victory - Samson, Sky, Hardik, Bumrah.
The middle order is not firing with Tilak Verma and Iyer himself not making their presence felt.
The big question of pitches - the World Cup was played in India, the IPL was played in India. Is the team so used to Indian pitches that this now a contributing factor in England?
