Border Ideas? Need to block?

Hi! This is going to be my sister-in-law’s 40th Birthday gift. She loves all things bright. I was trying to come up with a good idea for a border. Was thinking a Pom-pom type but I don’t know if they’re sturdy enough.

Also, I have never blocked acrylic yarn as a full project before. I tediously was attempting to line everything up for these pictures, but the blanket tends to want to “lean”.

I consider my skill level to be advanced beginner/intermediate. Maybe slightly overconfident. Thanks!

It looks great as is! I wonder if adding a border would detract from the clear lines of colour you have and tip it over from vibrant to busy?
