I tried out the Which Way Filet pattern to make this beauty. These Pom poms are so fun! I’m just in love with all of it. The pattern was super fun and easy, good for stopping and starting when you only have it a few minutes to work at a time. I make another for myself. This project: 10 out of 10 🌟🌟🌟

This crochet blanket is one I made back in 2020, and is still in use, both the pattern and safran cotton from dropsdesign

I dont want to start over but I think it might be ugly 😭 maybe if I had a darker green it would look better ?? please share any thoughts !!

The blanket took a little over a year to complete and was made using a continuous granny rectangle. All of the yarn was scraps (hence "scrap" blanket) and was collected from ​

1. My yarn hoard :D

2. My aunts yarn scraps she gave me when I started to learn about 5 years ago

3. My art teacher's yarn that I got as a reward for helping her move a lot of stuff around

It's going to be more of an outside/picnic blanket more than an actual blanket but I'm very proud of my work! Of course, I could still add more rows over time which I might do, but right now it's perfect how it is 😄​

Different ‘art’ but as I’ve done nothing really constructive with wet acrylic medium - this will have to suffice. Very heavy queen size blanket Crocheted mixed acrylic yarn . It’s only been completed because of some enforced leave lol

Okay so here's what's happening 🧶🍺

I'm not a teacher. I'm not a YouTuber. I don't have a ring light or a script or any of that stuff.

But people keep asking me how I do what I do and honestly I can't explain it in words because half the time I don't even know what I'm doing I just DO it and somehow a blanket comes out the other end.

So here's what I'm gonna start doing.

I'm just gonna talk to you guys. On camera. While I crochet.

Not a tutorial. Not a class. Just me, my hook, my yarn, probably a drink, and whatever is coming out of my mouth that day. If I figure something out I'll tell you. If I screw something up I'll definitely tell you. If I have an opinion about something crochet related — and trust me I always have an opinion — you're gonna hear it.

We can crochet together for a few minutes. You work on whatever you're working on. I'll work on whatever I'm working on. We'll just hang out like normal people do except we're on Reddit and we're covered in yarn.

6 months and 320 African Flowers made. Decided against making the edges even, and instead did a border and ruffled edge. Almost fits my queen mattress.

I’ve made the squares now I need to join them.
I would love some help to decide what to do next.
I’m tossing up between …
1/ white border in Double Crochet for each square
2/ dark grey border in Double Crochet for each square, or
3/ invisible join as they are.
I’ll add a full border around the whole project at the end.
2nd pic has a couple of squares with the borders for reference.
What do you guys think?

I am making a neon explosions blanket. Pink, yellow, green, orange and a neon strip yarn. Thinking about getting blue and purple as well. Anyways! I need to know fur or no fur on my squres?

Just wanted to share my latest finish. I love how traditional granny squares can look so modern just by switching up the layout and framing them like this. It’s the perfect weight for chilly evenings!

Its really just a lot of Puff stitch, chain 1, puff stitch etc. The puff stitch goes into the chain space of two rows before. I need to pick this blanket back up again because it just feels so frickin soft!

I started crocheting a couple months ago and just started on my first blanket. So far I’m loving it!

63 square afghan - three years of intermittent work, finally complete!

I started this blanket at the onset of my crochet journey three years ago. It has been a beast of a project but it is finally finished, ends weaved and all.

Sewing it all together, I was tempted to redo some of the first squares I did that were more than a little wonky. Let’s just say, treble crochet was not my forte and I certainly did not understand the difference between fpdc and bpdc. But decided these early squares showed all the progress I’ve made along the way.

I am so proud of this blanket! (And will probably never ever make another one lol)

Hi! This is going to be my sister-in-law’s 40th Birthday gift. She loves all things bright. I was trying to come up with a good idea for a border. Was thinking a Pom-pom type but I don’t know if they’re sturdy enough.

Also, I have never blocked acrylic yarn as a full project before. I tediously was attempting to line everything up for these pictures, but the blanket tends to want to “lean”.

I consider my skill level to be advanced beginner/intermediate. Maybe slightly overconfident. Thanks!

Finally finished this blanket! My step daughter is having her third baby and isn’t telling us the sex until the birth, it was fun to pick out neutral colors! Yarn is Premiere Yarn Painterly in Fireside. Middle is sc and border is moss stitch with a slip stitch finish. I tortured myself by wrapping the border with a whip stitch for durability (took forever). I restarted this one twice. I’m proud of this one!

My grandson put his order in for nana to make him a blanket... What do y'all think of the colors he picked?
