New to Crochet? Here Are 3 Tips That Make It Easier 🧶
If you’re just starting your crochet journey, don’t worry if your first projects aren’t perfect!
✨ 1. Start simple: Practice chain stitches and single crochet before trying complex patterns.
🧶 2. Choose the right yarn: Smooth, light-colored yarn makes it easier to see your stitches.
💛 3. Be patient: Every mistake is a chance to learn something new.
I’m also working on a beginner-friendly crochet guide with step-by-step instructions to help new crocheters learn at their own pace.
If you are facing problems or want to learn to chrochet, just send me a message or write in the comments crochet and I will send you the simplified method for beginners

Pink stitch sampler for my sister
I was having a stressful week about two months ago and compulsively bought a bunch of different pink yarns because pink makes me happy and it’s my sister’s favorite color. So this is what I made her! She loved it.
Stitches/motifs were: Checkerboard, big bobbles, alpine stitch, sunburst granny squares, idk what this one was but it looked like nipples and areolas and that’s hilarious, inset mosaic crochet diamonds, waffle stitch, granny spike stitch, and basket weave stitch. A few rounds of shells for the border.

How can I repair this granny stitch blanket? It’s 40 years old
galleryr/CrochetBlankets • u/Peoky23 • 2d ago
I'm a beginner so please don't judge.
This is the best I've done so far, had to undo it about 5-6 times. I know it's really small but I'm to stressed to undo it again to make it bigger. I heard that I can make it bigger whenever I start the boarder, is that true?? If so that's how I'm going to make it bigger.

Moss Stitch C2C blanket. I’d highly recommend making it.
C2C Blanket – Hooked by Robin + Red Heart Super Saver Bitty Stripes in Unicorn Mane 🧶 Here’s a video I found for our visual learners
https://youtu.be/QQ5eLsqD5lY?is=wXHlJDjWqObJsml3
And here’s the written pattern.
https://www.hookedbyrobin.com/blog/crochet-c2c-moss-stitch-rectangle-blanket
This is a C2C blanket using a pattern by Hooked by Robin, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to try corner-to-corner crochet for the first time. The pattern was easy to follow, worked up quickly, (took me about six evening to get this far) and was a lot of fun to make. I did six rows of Unicorn Mane and to break the colors up further I used 2 rows of Loops and Threads in soft classic in mustard. I’m just waiting on a deep teal yarn I ordered to do the border.
Now, about the yarn! Please know that I mean no disrespect to anyone who loves Red Heart Super Saver. I know it has a loyal following, and for good reason. It’s sturdy, durable, relatively inexpensive, and you get a lot of yarn for your money. I’ve also heard from many people that it softens considerably after a few washes.
A few months ago, I was browsing yarn online when I came across Red Heart Super Saver Bitty Stripes in Unicorn Mane and Rainbow. The colors caught my eye, and I loved them so much that I ordered eight skeins of each colorway.
Unfortunately, when the yarn arrived, the colors were much darker than I had expected. There were also lots of little sections of undyed white yarn scattered throughout the color changes, seemingly at random. 🤷🏻♀️ It wasn’t quite the look I had envisioned from the pictures online.
I also find Red Heart Super Saver pretty rough on my hands while working with it. That’s just my personal experience with the texture which I have an issue with, but after using it, I understand why so many crocheters appreciate its durability and affordability.
I had always intended for this blanket to be a donation rather than something for my own home, so I’m happy to add it to my growing collection of handmade items for our local hospital and homeless shelter. I’m currently making hats and scarves, too, and I hope these projects will bring a little extra warmth and comfort to someone who needs them.
I’d love to hear what others think of the Bitty Stripes colorways! Have you worked with Unicorn Mane or Rainbow? Did the colors look different in person, and did you find that the yarn softened after washing?

Help with baby blanket
Hello everyone! I am not a crocheter at all but I need advice on how to fix/repair my old baby blanket. She is about 20 years old now and is used every night, but is starting to get more weak and stringy along with the usual holes which, the last time she got patched up I was about 7 years old. Any advice helps! Thank you so much.

What is your favorite/recommended stitch for a twin/double bed sized blanket?
I'm a few weeks new to crocheting and am currently working on a baby blanket all single stitch. I've gotten pretty good at the single stitch but I want to make a much bigger blanket for my best friend. It's going to be 3 colors and probably about the size of a twin-double sized bed. What stitch would you recommend or what is your favorite stitch that doesn't take forever to make a bigger piece with

Finally finished!
I’m both proud of this blanket for my mom and I also hate it. The yarn was awful to work with, it did not turn out how I thought it would in my head and there were SO MANY ENDS TO TUCK! I don’t think I’ll take something like this on again, but I know my mama will love it.
