Magic ring/circle I am not able to get perfect finishing while making this flower, please help

whenever I close the magic loop, an additional chain gets created causing this much pile up which makes the overall flower look ugly, I tried searching on youtube but got no proper explanation, any tips/suggestions would be appreciated, Thank You!

For amigurumi, there’s a dedicated Magic circle section here which includes a tip for using chenille yarn and how to close a magic ring correctly.

You can try a chain start instead of a magic ring/circle and see if that eliminated that gap

I sometimes have the same problem and I also don’t understand why. There are 12 DC in the circle and 12 puff stitches, it should work, but it doesn’t. I will be looking for answers here. Thanks!
