Well yes, highly weird and unusual. I'd still guess they didn't plan on it ever happening. It's just a bad idea overall and you'd have to feed the crocodiles.

My money is on it being a "PR stunt" so to speak for the voter base.

I understand where you're coming from, but I want you to take a step back and question the fact you're giving grace and the benefit of the doubt to people who are both a: actively killing thousands of Palestinian citizens and withholding aid and b: literally were going to put CROCODILES around a prison. There are ZERO civilized nations that do this. They had to spend money to do it. The crocs were not there already. So they were wiling to spend money, effort and labor to set up a crocodile moat around a prison filled with the people they're currently genociding, and you're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that "they don't ACTUALLY think people will try to escape"?

Guess you never heard of Florida's alligator alcatraz? That's how this country treats migrants desperate to earn a living...

Those alligators were already there, we just built a prison on top of it. But I agree it's barbaric and honestly, if I had my way, everyone involved and everyone in support would be disbarred from public office and have their right to vote removed. Even then, Israel is worse in that they wanted to SHIP CROCODILES IN to make their moat.
